How to use the Julienne Peeler
Hi all, I've been asked many times what is the best way to use the peeler as there are several methods. I found the following most effective as you have less wastage. Happy cooking!
Hold a vegetable flat against your cutting board or at an angle (whichever is more comfortable). Press the peeler against the vegetable and peel the flesh, sliding the peeler away from you. You can make long, thin strips by keeping the peeler pressed into the vegetable or shorter, matchstick cuts with quick, short strokes. Peel in the same place for several strokes. Turn and repeat this method until you can no longer peel comfortably.
