Jamie's Guitar Salad
While browsing our local supermarket recipe magazine, I came across this gorgeous, fresh, simple recipe by Jamie Oliver, which I can't resist sharing. It is called Guitar Salad" because of the guitar string shape of the vegetables in the salad. Cheftoolkits's julienne and peeler and the zester grater are perfect for this recipe.Bon Appetit!
Jamie Oliver's Guitar Salad
300g asparagus
½ bunch radishes
1 green zucchini
6 baby carrots, in different colours if possible, trimmed
Celery leaves and fennel tops to serve ( optional )
Dressing
4 anchovy fillet
½ garlic clove
juice of ½ lemon and a pinch of lemon zest
Extra-virgin olive oil
For the dressing, bash the anchovies and garlic in a pestle and mortar then muddle in the lemon juice, lemon zest, a good drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of pepper.
Using a julienne peeler, julienne the vegetables and pile on a board. Scatter over the celery leaves and fennel tops and drizzle over the dressing just before serving.
This recipe is enough for 4-6 people.
